Websites that Support Curriculum (K-12)
[The internet offers an almost infinite variety of multi-modal opportunities to engage learners!]
This page offers visual lists of websites that can be of use in the classroom to support curriculum. When you click on a "Webslides" button, it will take you to a full-screen slide show that shows the home page of each listed website. The lists are growing, so you may wish to check back periodically. These lists may be sub-divided in the future to provide a more narrow focus.
The slide shows are completely cusomizable. Here are some of the things that you can do:
- run through the slide show automatically and set how long you want to stay on each slide.
- move through the slideshow manually.
- go directly to the listed website by clicking on the link in the lower left corner of the screen.
- use a text-list to go directly to items on the list. (This list can be turned off.)
Webslides doesn't always work perfectly, but it is a great visual way of scrolling through lists of links. If for any reason, the webpage is not visible in the slide show, you can usually get to the site very quickly by clicking the link in the lower left corner of the slide. Sometimes it helps to pause the slideshow while you wait for a slide to load.
